Vision of Watertown Mennonite Church
Watertown Mennonite Church claims the vision statement of the Mennonite
Church:
God calls us to be followers of Jesus Christ and, by the power of the
Holy Spirit, to grow as communities of grace, joy, and peace, so that God's
healing and hope flow through us to the world.
We give expression to this vision through:
- Accepting the Bible, as understood from an Anabaptist perspective,
as the authority for our teaching and how we live our lives.
- Worshipping God through inspiring music and challenging sermons.
- Caring for each other's spiritual and physical needs, and expressing
this caring in a friendly, family like, atmosphere.
- Challenging people to grow in their relationship with God and
others and to exercise their gifts for the benefit of the church and the
Kingdom of God.
- Providing opportunities for growth through L.I.F.E. groups, Christian
Education, and other avenues as the opportunity arises.
